Playboy’s Nude Yoga Video Opposed!
The world famous Playboy magazine had launched a video in which a nude model performs yoga asanas. Various Hindu organizations of America have opposed the video. Sara Jean Underwood, a Hollywood film actress and a Playboy model, does the yoga asanas. The video was available only for visitors of Playboy’s web portal.
Rajan Zed, the president of the Universal Society of Hinduism said that the Playboy was hurting the sentiments of many Hindus for mercantile needs. “Hindus are upset over what is the misuse of the age-old and revered system of yoga by Playboy for mercantile greed and we are urging the organisation to withdraw all its yoga-related products.”
While making yoga videos has become a fad for many in Hollywood, this is the first time such a video has been made by a popular magazine like Playboy. It is highly unlikely that Playboy will remove these videos, as the magazine has always enjoyed raking controversies, there by getting more attention.
