Cool Leaf Touchscreen Keyboard with no Physical Keys
Are you tired of using traditional keyboards and want keyboards with flat surfaces just like in Star Trek. Here is the solution Japan's Minebea has announced that the utterly gorgeous concept COOL LEAF touch panel keyboard is to be released next month. This keyboard is designed by Dr. Kazuo Kawasaki. Initially available to Japanese Windows users only, the company says that a Mac version is on the way. Other language layouts are scheduled for release later in the year.
This special keyboard uses a capacitative touch panel in lieu of physical keys. This is the same technologies used in many tablets and touchscreen phones to provide home theater environments. It also makes use of haptic feedback technology, which makes it vibrate slightly when a key is touched, so you know when a key has been pressed. I can’t say how useful it would be to actually type on, as opposed to a regular keyboard. On the bright side, it is much easier to clean, as it takes just a wipe to do so. The $320 price is enough to make sure that most people will happily stick to their trust old keyboards.
